Hotel Pangea & Nyíregyháza Zoo
Cotto d’Este can now boast a new prestigious reference, having been used for the creation of the entrance to the Nyíregyháza Zoo and for part of the surfaces of the Hotel Pangea, located right inside the park.
The project – designed by Hungarian architect Attila Gáva of Gav-Art Studio – aims to create volumes and architectures in harmony with the surrounding nature. To achieve this goal, the designer focused on the quality, aesthetics and high performance of Cotto d’Este’s made in Italy ceramics.
The external covering realized using the ventilated wall system of the Hotel and of the entrance to the Zoo was made using Kerlite 5plus Forest, a collection inspired by wood in its most rustic and natural shape, which reproduces very realistic details such as differences in roughness and texture typical of aged wood fibres.
The architect chose to use the Rovere colour for the surfaces of the hotel, in which 1600 sq m were covered, while he opted for the Noce variant for the Zoo, where 400 sq m of Kerlite were used to cover the entrance.
