Hotel Baltic
Hospitality, good humour and outdoor living: these are the watchwords of the Hotel Baltic, located near the beach in the heart of Marina Centro, in the city of Rimini. The Baltic Hotel has a long and successful history of family management. Once a small establishment, it has become a delightful hotel in which the value of simplicity and tradition, a positive spirit, passion and a relaxed atmosphere create a cheerful, picture-postcard setting every summer in keeping with authentic Romagna tradition. New exterior façades and rooms with panoramic terraces define the hotel’s new look, while preserving its identity. The renovation project was designed by Architect Barbara Quadrelli.
Featuring a linear and minimal architectural structure, the bright white colour of the external façades has been enhanced with thin wood-effect ceramic slabs from the Zero.3 DOGHE collection, selected in the Rovere Oliato version, in the 20×150 cm format with a 3.5 mm thickness. Distinguished by its extreme realism, the series offers natural and modern colours, barely noticeable knots with a slightly textured surface that gives the surface a more substantial, natural and brighter look. In addition to their aesthetic appeal, fibreglass-reinforced laminated porcelain stoneware slabs offer undisputed advantages over real wood: they do not mark, dent, or stain and the colour does not change, regardless of weather conditions. Particularly for a seaside location where salt spray could spoil the product’s beauty. Moreover, since it is ceramic, it does not require any treatment. The same inspiration was also used for the floors of the rooms’ terraces, for which the DECK surface from the DOGHE DI QUERCIA collection was chosen, a wonderful wood-effect surface that evokes the warm and natural shades of oak.
