Headquarter Bonfiglioli Spa Div. D&P

A space that is both a factory and a business centre. An environment designed to improve production cycles, as well as to provide employees with a workspace in which they can freely move around, without barriers linked to different positions and roles, embracing a horizontal approach to work. This is the final result of the EVO project that the Open Project firm has developed for the headquarters of the D&P department at the Bonfiglioli Group, a company that specialises in the design and manufacture of applications in the fields of industrial automation, self-propelled machinery and wind energy. The context within the renovated headquarters in Calderara di Reno (BO) is characterised by spacious rooms, versatile furnishings, a healthy environment, an open workspace that also respects privacy, as well as relaxation areas featuring “energetic” colours. In the recomposition of the entire management and production chain in a single location, surfaces play a key role: the professionals of Open Project for Bonfiglioli Riduttori chose floor and wall tiles by Cotto d’Este and Lea Ceramiche for many areas of the headquarters. Since ceramic is easy to clean and thanks to the specific antibacterial treatments in the Panariagroup Protect® Line (to which the two brands belong) and their extraordinary performance, these surfaces have proven to be an unbeatable choice.

Cotto d’Este’s contribution

For the floor of several areas including the canteen, the firm selected Color-10 Cem from the Kerlite 5plus Cement Project collection, inspired by hand-spatulate concrete floors. The striking matt-glossy reflection that this product acquires against the light gives it a strong personality that is highly suited to an innovative setting such as the headquarters. The metal effect in the intense rust colour of the Corten and Iron shade of Kerlite 5Plus Metal was used for the cladding of the entrance hall’s ventilated façade.  Finally, Cotto d’Este is also used for the raised floor in the offices, made with Color-10 Land in the 14 mm thickness – Cement Project – and of the portico, where the 20 mm-thick Limestone collection in the Slate shade was used, with the Fiammata surface.

Lea Ceramiche’s contribution

For the hall floor, the standout feature, in addition to the imposing reception desk, is the spectacular marble effect of Slimtech Delight Calacatta Oro, laid in large 6 mm-thick slabs. The result is captivating, sophisticated, and refined. Perfect for an area designed to welcome visitors, who are received in a spacious setting with a focus on marble, a natural and ancient material, yet with a contemporary feel that is more in line with current tastes. Synonymous with technical strength and aesthetic excellence, Slimtech’s superior-quality thin ceramic slabs are therefore the key element and the distinctive feature of this space.
